Dividend Income

So this month I have decided to change up my graphs a bit.  I have decided to separate my portfolio value into its own graph and simplify the Dividend Income.  I have also created a monthly income comparison chart so my readers can quickly compare my year over year income increase.

If you wish to view any of my past monthly updates you can find them here.

Lets dive right into the numbers for the month of May 2016.

My monthly income was 249% higher than the same period a year ago and 47% higher than last month.  I took in $849.38 for the month of May.  My portfolio value increased from $189,472 to $201,595 which also includes my contributions of $11,604.

I ended April with future dividends of $7175 and over the coarse of May managed to increase my income by $822.  Truly astonishing!

Monthly Capital Contribution

Below you can view the total contributions made to my Dividend Portfolio since inception along with the 12 month total.  Currently my 12 month capital contribution total is coming in at $59,574.  Going forward I would like to contribute at least $50,000 a year to my dividend portfolio and as of the last 12 months seem to be crushing that number.  In the month of May I added $11,604 to my dividend portfolio.

Since I tend to take profits more often than the typical buy and hold dividend investor, my Cost Basis and Portfolio Value ratio are not an accurate reflection of my overall profits.
