target

Today Target announced a quarterly dividend increase of $0.09 from $0.43 to $0.52 per share that’s payable September 10, 2014 to holders of record as of August 20, 2014.  This increase was a whopping 21%!

This will mark the 47th straight year of dividend increases for TGT!

I own 11.8 shares, so this dividend increase will raise my annual dividends to $24.55.

As long as Target remains below 60, I plan to continue to add to my position.

Dividend Income Update May 2014

Written by MrStockFox. Posted in Dividends

dividendsAnother month has passed and its now time to update what I made in dividend income.  May was a very successful month on my way to becoming financially independent.

In May, I took in $78.75, which is almost double the income I received in March.  I am very close to breaking the $100 a month barrier and believe I should have that completed by July.

A couple weeks back, I updated my 2014 goals. Since I hit $20,000 in Dividend Growth Equities so quickly, I decided to up my goal to $50,000.  This is one goal that is going to be very hard to hit but believe I could come very close with my current savings rate.

Overall, I am very excited each month to see those dividends keep rolling in.

You can find my total dividends received each month located here.

Thanks for reading.
